In
this section you can find out about how to make various smoothies from
different for that perfect chill out drink.
First of all to make a smoothie you will need to have a smoothie machine
or food blender, although the smoothie machine works a lot better and
produces a smoother, more satisfying drink. In relation to the recipes,
add more of some ingredients to your discretion if you plan to server
more than the stated serving suggestion.
Smoothies are great because they can be made from almost any fruits.
They are also healthy if they comprise of fruits and milk, although
sugary and alcoholic versions are available. I have made a list of my
favourite smoothies and if you have an idea for a recipe that is good,
then head over to the contact page and maybe it can be posted here with
full credits...

Name | Sensual Smoothie
| About |
Contains natural Aphrodisiacs and is a nice chilled smoothie that tastes
great.
| Ingredients |
1½ cups of milk, 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 sliced banana,
4 squares chopped chocolate, chopped stem ginger.
| Method
|
Combine Milk & ice cream in blender, followed by sliced banana,
mix until frothy. Remove from blender and stir in the chocolate and
float some ice cream on top if desired.

Name | Peaceful Nights
| About |
Chamomile, vervain & honey are traditional cures for insomnia. Oranges
relax the nervous system. Vervain is a powerful natural remedy and use
only every few weeks to sustain its effect,
| Ingredients |
1 cup chamomile or vervain tea, frozen into ice cubes, 2 sliced oranges
(pips removed) 1 tsp clear honey, 4 drops of Valerian root (optional)
| Method |
Combine orange segments and honey. Crush the ice cubes if your blender
cant cope, then mix oranges and honey with herbal tea until ingredients
become slushy.

Name | Stress Solution
| About |
Just what you need after a stressful day, Vitamin C&B is used when
we are stressed. Vitamin B especially keeps the mind calm. This is supplied
with the raspberries, soya milk and almonds. Rescue Remedy is great
for stressed days.
| Ingredients |
1 small punnet raspberries, 1 raspberry yoghurt, 1 cup soya milk, 2
drops of Bach Rescue Remedy, sliced almonds.

Mix soya milk and yogurt in blender, then add raspberries and Rescue
Remedy. Blend until frothy and then add almonds by sprinkling them over
the top to finish.

Name | Super Concentration

Although it helps you concentrate, I personally find this is a great
relaxation smoothie. A personal favourite of mine, this smoothie is
good for the mind, body and soul.
| Ingredients |
1½ cups of milk, 1 ripe kiwi fruit, 2 ripe bananas (sliced)
| Method
|
Blend the milk and bananas together, followed by the kiwi, until drink
is foamy.

Name | Ice Cool Fruity
One

Although it helps you concentrate, I personally find this is a great
relaxation smoothie. A personal favourite of mine, this smoothie is
good for the mind, body and soul.
| Ingredients |
3 peeled Kiwi fruits, 300g fresh strawberries, 250ml orange juice, 75ml
apple juice, 75ml pineapple juice, 8 ice cubes.

|
Place fruit and juices into the blender. Add ice cubes and blend for
20-30 seconds until smooth.

Name | Thick Banana Milkshake

This is another personal favourite of mine. Easy to make, it provides
a god revitalising effect and indulgence.
| Ingredients |
500ml milk, 3 medium sized ripe bananas (chopped) 6 small scoops vanilla
ice cream, 3 ice cubes.

Add all ingredients into blender and blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth
and foamy.

Name | Fruit Smasher
| About |
Similar to the the Ice Cool Fruity One this is a great smoothie and
is zingy, cool and refreshing but very lively. A great drink.
| Ingredients |
2 nectarines cut up (stones removed) 100g fresh strawberries, 100g fresh
raspberries, 100ml lemonade, 100ml apple juice, 6 ice cubes.

Add all ingredients into blender and blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth
and foamy.

Name | Pineapple Coconut
Refresher
|
About |
This is good tropical refreshing smoothie and brings a Caribbean vibe
to your mind. Contains alcohol.
| Ingredients |
1 can Pineapple chunks in juice, 250ml pineapple juice, 8x15ml spoons
coconut milk, 4x15ml Malibu, 6 small scoops of vanilla ice cream (300g
approx)
| Method
|
Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend for 20-30 seconds.

Name | Lemon Zinger
|
About |
A zingy refreshing lemon drink. The smoothie version of a Gin &
Tonic. Contains alcohol.
| Ingredients |
400g Natural Yogurt, 2x15ml Gin, 5ml pure lemon juice, 2 large scoops
lemon sorbet.

|
Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend for 20-30 seconds.
| Serves | 2-3

Name | Peach Melba Special
|
About |
A really tasty smoothie, very sweet and relaxing. Contains
alcohol.
| Ingredients |
75g raspberries, small can of peaches in natural juice, drained. 200ml
Peach flavoured drinking yogurt, 100ml milk, 1 tsp icing sugar, 2x15ml
Archers Peach Schnapps, 2 ice cubes.
| Method |
Pureé or mash together the raspberries and peaches and put through
a sieve to remove seeds. Then blend all the ingredients together until
smooth.
